  Positive Disintegration #16278
Positive Disintegration  The first of its kind, this journal begins its career as a focus point for issues of gifted adults by highlighting Kazimierz Dabrowski's Theory of Positive Disintegration, a large-scale developmental theory valuing emotional depth. William Hague examines post-modern moral development in the light of this theory. We learn about moral exemplars George and Annemarie Roeper, who fled Hitler's Germany to found the child-centered Roeper School, where gifted children thrive. Research on parents of exceptionally gifted children and self-perceptions of gifted women add detailed data from real lives, while a pivotal counseling session, using Dabrowskian principles, shows the effect awareness of gifted issues can have on a sensitive soul.
